An elegant rainy setting

YASS AND CASS WEDDING

A man and woman kissing in front of an umbrella.

I started shopping for the dress in November 23’ in the UK, where I live, for my wedding in August 24’ which took place in my family’s backyard. The first few months were stressful and unenjoyable. I started to worry if I’d ever find “the one” and time was getting away from me. Fast forward to March, I was back in Canada for a short time and was able to make a last minute appointment at Toujours.

From the moment I stepped into Toujours, I knew this was it. Jess was my bridal consultant but the entire team helped throughout making my feel so welcomed and special. How a bride should feel! We tried on a few dresses, all of which were stunning but when I put on Besset by Milla Nova, I lit up like a star and knew I didn’t want to try anything else on. This was it. SHE was it.

I may have taken Jess’ moment away by saying yes to the dress before she finished asking but the excitement was just too real. Dina then brought out some Prosecco for my Mum and friend Ashley to have as a celebration for finally saying YES ✨ That day was so magical and special, I hold it close to my heart.

Given the timeline, the dress was ordered then and there with a rushed delivery to ensure it arrived on time. When the dress arrived, I was out of the country and scheduled to be back in a few weeks for my try on and balance appointment. What a moment it was to put on my dress for the first time - all pristine and fresh out of the garment bag.
